Your United Way supports several initiatives outside our Community Impact Grant. Below you can read more about these initiatives and learn how members of our community can support them.
The Quality Improvement Partnership Network
allows your United Way to work one on one with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to expand the capacity of programs and support leaders at a deeper level. Not only does your investment allow your United Way to support organizations financially, but also through collaboration and capacity building, to increase the sustainability of programs in our area, expanding their ability to reach more people.
Clothing for Kids
The Clothing for Kids Closet program was established to help students and families in need at our four (4) local school districts and to help equip school staff to meet needs with a point-in-time service. The closets are supported through funding from United Way of Greater Baytown Area and Chambers County, as well as materials and time generously donated by volunteers and community members.
The mission of this program is to provide students with new, appropriate school clothing when they need it without redirecting them to a third-party provider.
If you want to partner with us in our Clothing for Kids program, please refer to the link below for the clothing requests.
Free Little Libraries
United Way in your area is excited to collaborate with Little Free Library to introduce Read in Color to Baytown and Chambers County. Read in Color is an educational endeavor that grants students and families access to a variety of diverse and inclusive books. United Way acknowledges the significance of seeing oneself reflected in literature. Through Read in Color, diverse titles and authors will be made available to readers, fostering greater awareness of diversity and promoting inclusivity within Baytown and Chambers County.
