Why Women United?

Women United® is a vibrant, diverse community of 70,000+ women leaders within United Way who transform communities across the world. The group is a powerful, global network of strong women in more than 165 communities across six countries. Since 2002, Women United® has invested $1.5 billion in local solutions for health, education and financial stability of every person in every community.

Women United members make a meaningful difference in our community. Benefits of this powerful group include volunteer experiences, networking events, professional development opportunities, and more.

Women United encourages its members to leverage their time, talent and treasure in support of the mission of the United Way of Greater Baytown Area & Chambers County. 

Mission

The mission of Women United is to empower women in the local community to achieve financial, professional, and personal success.

Strategy 1: Women United promotes financial literacy in Baytown and Chambers County.

Strategy 2: Women United promotes professional development and career enrichment.

Strategy 3: Women United advocates for the basic needs of individuals and families living in in poverty and within the gap defined by the ALICE Report.

Membership

Click on either of the following levels of membership to complete a sign up form. By completing the form, you will recieve information on Women United.

Member

  • Donate $500 - $999/year and volunteer 4+hours/year with United Way
  • Benefits include Women United pin, invitation to all meetings and events*, first option for any ticketed events, and discounts on tickets.

Leadership Member

  • Donate $1000+/year
  • Benefits include Women United pin, individual is eligible to serve on the executive council, professional headshot and assistance with writing your bio, invitation to all meetings and events*, including first option to attend legislative day in Austin, and first option for any ticketed events, and discounts on tickets.

Rising Member

  • Step Up Three Year Plan: Donate $175 in year 1; $350 in year 2; and $500 in year 3, serve on a Women United committee and volunteer 4+hours/year with United Way
  • Benefits include Women United pin, invitation to all meetings and events*, first option for any ticketed events, and discounts on tickets.

*Meetings and events include: professional development, lunch and learns, special events, and speaker series.
