The following information is from the Baytown Sun Newspspaer, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 (Vol. 94, No.107)
For both Goose Creek CISD and Crosby ISD area schools, meals will be provided for children 18 and younger without charge during various times throughout June and July.
Meals will be provided to all children without charge and there are no income requirements .
Children do not have to be enrolled in summer school to participate and there are no application or registration requirements.
The Summer Food Service Program was established to ensure that low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.
Robert E. Lee High School, Sterling High School and Goose Creek Memorial High School will provide meals from June 12-July 10. Breakfast will be served from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Baytown Junior school, Cedar Bayou Junior school, Gentry Junior school, Highlands Junior school and Horace Mann Junior school will provide meals from June 11-June 25. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. and lunch will be served from 10:35 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.
Lorenzo De Zavala Elementary, Crockett Elementary, James Bowie Elementary, Highlands Elementary, Ashbel Smith Elementary, Travis Elementary and Hopper Primary schools will provide meals from June 11-July 2. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Point Alternative center will serve meals from June 12-July 2 and will serve breakfast 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. and lunch from 10:35 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.
J.D. Walker Community Center will only server lunch between 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. from June 10-July18.
McElroy Park and Central Heights Park will serve meals from June 11-July 2. McElroy will serve lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. Central Heights will serve lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
